As a longtime Atlanta Braves fan, I was thrilled to get the opportunity to work with the MLB and the Braves organization on their inaugural year of their “Art in the Park” poster series. I wanted to approach the project from the viewpoint of a longtime fan and dig deep into vintage Braves ephemera. This led to the “shadow box” collage concept you see here that brings together Braves imagery from over the years. I wanted the focal point to be a custom Atlanta Braves badge reminiscent of the type of featured signage one might see in a major league stadium. It turned out being the perfect anchor to bring the entire piece together. Few experiences will top getting to see this piece in person all throughout their stadium.
