I was commissioned by the OAAA Obie Committee to create a Call For Entries poster/mailer. The Obie Awards are a huge out-of-home advertising competition. 2500 of these were made and sent out internationally.
Designed book, coasters, traditional billboards and digital billboards for a sales pitch to Abita Brewing. The images seen here were all created by Matt while with Lamar. The only downside was constantly craving Abita. Then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing…
This is an identity piece for a progressive out-of-home advertising initiative. The concept was a brief, affordable message being displayed onto a billboard. The abstract speech bubble was combined with a billboard shape to create a mark that is clean, modern and fitting for the product itself.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of music related projects. I always jump at the opportunity to work with bands & musicians. This was no exception. England in 1819 is a grandwave duo comprised of two incredibly talented brothers. The album sounds fantastic and I wanted to give them something that fit its style and reflected the new path that their music has taken.
Elsah is a Southern Rock/Americana band from Louisiana. In addition to being a fantastic band, they're also some of the nicest guys around. We were more than happy to take on the album art for their upcoming release.
Some of the nicest furniture that you'll never see in a store or a catalog comes out of Evergreen Workshop. Evergreen Workshop is a one-man shop that can build pretty much anything you could imagine. A simple identity package was created to complement EW’s custom work.
One of the great things about doing what we do is working alongside folks we love. Recently got to work with my good friends at Slash on a branding project for Bottle & Tap. Can't say enough how much I enjoyed being a part of this collaboration.
This was a project done while I was with Lamar. It took 1 amazing illustrator, 1 hilarious copywriter and 2 detail obsessed designers (one of whom can make a mean map), but the end product was a huge success. It was used at a design conference to illustrate a handful of different types of individuals one might encounter in the design world.
Before becoming parents we came across an article regarding a baby's first year that was simple and sweet. The article was about the four main things that a baby does in its first year; Eat, Sleep, Play, Love. We decided this would be a unique theme for our daughters nursery. Admittedly so, this was a bit out of my typical wheelhouse. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the challenge that it presented and received lots of positive feedback. Since then we've received numerous requests for these to be available as prints. These will be available soon in our shop.
I can't begin to describe my love of Seinfeld. Myself and a large portion of our friends are enormous fans of the show. Although there are many items available to purchase that celebrate Seinfeld, the majority of these lack uniqueness. I wanted to create something that people would be proud to hang in their homes. The idea was to take a quote from the each of the show's 4 main characters and design a scene around the typography. I feel that this approach evokes the shows essence more than a lot of the options out there that just take advantage of low-hanging fruit. Prints will be available soon in our shop.
Very proud to have created this logo and t-shirt design as part of a collaborative effort with my friends - HVIII Brand Goods & S/ASH - to get the word out about the 2016 Louisiana Floods. 100% of proceeds go towards flood relief efforts for the area.
Mud & Water is a live music venue and production company out of Louisiana. They book and host local acts, national acts and everything in between. I was tasked with creating an identity that married both their live music aspect and the fact that it was a place where one can grab a beer or two.
Branding project for full service production company, Twentyfour25 Productions. These guys handle all sorts of events and needed something that would fit in anywhere they do business. I went for a modern take on mid-century modern.
6 Pack Deep is a group of fun-loving fellas from Louisiana, but sound like they could be straight out of California. This California sound and their laid back vibe provided the perfect inspiration behind the artwork for their third release. I had the opportunity to create the entire album packaging. You couldn't ask for a more fun client.
I got my start in gig posters, so I jumped at the opportunity to design a special poster for my good friend (and extremely talented musician), Jason Martin.
I strive to keep my Instagram feed as fresh and active as possible. In addition to client work, I often post custom designs, illustrations & type combos (check out #typecombotuesday) weekly. Follow here!
